How do I know if my resume is ATS friendly?
Upload the exact file you plan to send. If your contact details, section headings and dates come through in the extracted text, in the right order, a screening system can read it.
Are PDF resumes ATS friendly?
Usually, as long as the PDF contains real text rather than an image, and the layout is a single column. The test flags scanned PDFs and multi-column layouts.
Do two-column resumes work with an ATS?
Often not well. Many parsers read one column after the other, so sections can end up out of order or merged. A single-column layout is the safe choice.
Is my resume stored?
No. The file is processed in memory to run the checks and is not saved.
