ATS Rater (“we”) runs atsrater.com. This policy explains what we collect when you use the site, why, and who processes it for us.
Resumes and job descriptions
When you run a check, your resume and the job description are processed in memory to produce your report and are not stored on our servers. The report stays in your browser tab and disappears when you close it.
To find keywords our dictionary doesn't know, the job description (not your resume) is sent to our AI provider, DeepSeek. When you use AI tailoring or cover letters, your resume and the job description are sent to DeepSeek to write the rewrites. We don't store either, and we don't use them to train AI models; DeepSeek processes them under its own terms and privacy policy. Don't include information you don't want processed this way, such as a home address or ID numbers.
If you start tailoring and then go to checkout, the job description, resume text and the skills you ticked are kept in your browser's local storage for up to two hours so you can pick up where you left off. They never reach our database.
Your account
If you sign in, we store your email address, when you signed in, which plan you have and until when. Sign-in codes are stored only as hashes and expire after 10 minutes. We keep a daily count of AI rewrites per account (or, for free previews, per hashed IP address) to prevent abuse.
Payments
Payments are handled by Waffo Pancake, which acts as the merchant of record and collects sales tax and VAT. We never see your card details. Waffo tells us when an order is paid, renewed, canceled or refunded, along with your email, the order and the plan, so we can switch Pro on or off.
Who processes data for us
- Vercel: hosting.
- Supabase: our database (accounts and plans).
- DeepSeek: AI keyword extraction, rewrites and cover letters.
- Resend: sign-in emails.
- Waffo Pancake: checkout, billing and receipts.
Cookies
We set one cookie when you sign in, to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising cookies.
Your choices
You can ask us to export or delete your account data at support@atsrater.com. Deleting your account doesn't cancel an active subscription; cancel it from your account page first.
